AIM
Advanced Image Manipulation
The AIM Light is a very high intensity daylight balanced continuous light source (f64,3 @ 10 cm, 1 second, 100 asa) which uses fiber optics to shape and form the light. Invaluable in any lighting situation where subtle control of the final image is needed, the system allows the photographer to infinitely control the color and exposure level in any area of the final image. Two versions are available, both delivering the same intensity of light. Both units are available as system sets with various tools. The Professional unit (shown below) features a digital countdown exposure timer which can be set anywhere between 1 and 99 seconds. This allows for exactly repeatable exposures. The simpler Economy version has two fixed timing modes of 20 seconds and 40 seconds. Both models also have a continuous mode with audio timer where the exposure time is controlled by the on/off switch in the hand piece. The audio timer beeps once every second. Lastolite
We sell the complete range.

Lastolite are the world's leading manufacturer of backgrounds and lighting control systems for the photo, video and cinema industry. Lastolite are renowned for producing highly innovative products, manufactured to the highest standards.

The HiLite backgrounds range allows the photographer to work in a way that was extremely difficult to achieve in the past, 'High Key' photography on location and in restrictive spaces.

By rear lighting the white background itself there is no longer a need to use a background light behind the subject. Furthermore, because the background is actually illuminated it means the subject can stand virtually right in front of it without casting a shadow. The HiLite backgrounds also works as a large rear softbox and illuminates the subject as well, meaning you can use just one other flash head to light the subject from the front. What's more, the whole thing is collapsible.
